I believe in angels
I was so preoccupied this afternoon that I got in my car and left my 400 dollar purse in the basket at the grocery store parking lot, just as the high school across the street was letting out. Inside my purse, my 200 dollar wallet with credit cards and cash, my husbands 500 dollar camera, and my checkbook, among other things. I drove all the way home and went to grab my purse when I got out of the car. And then panick set in as I realized what a dumbass I was. So as I drive back at breakneck speed in full tilt panic mode, I tell my dumb ass sellf that I just made some kids holiday... Halfway there Chris calls and says some lady called and left a message saying she found my purse and turned it in to the manager. I'm like yay! Wait. How the hell did she get my number? She must have gone through my purse. Camera has to be gone. Who could resist? I get there, and lo, purse, wallet, camera and all. She didn't leave her name or anything, I absolutely would have given her a reward, just for being one of the few honest, good people left in the world. So instead she'll have to do with me regaling the internet with her story, and my personal little thank you to God for leaving this person in my path on this day. It certainly made my day.
